I had the opportunity to be the sole designer and instructor of a graduate class at the highly respected LSU Robert Reich School of Landscape Architecture. My students were first year graduates with no background in the subject matter. I gave them lessons in traditional drawing, perspective drawing, Photoshop, AutoCAD, 3D Studio MAX, and Aftereffects, with each class also providing opportunities to teach the fundamentals of the design process. By the end of the semester, my students were able to draw site plans in AutoCAD, create a textured 3D model from their plans, incorporate their model into a Photoshop rendering, and draw perspectives of their site. Below is a summary of all of the course evaluations provided by my students over the two semesters that I taught the class.
